Open-Faced Sandwiches with Salami

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of white bread
  • Horseradish butter (for spreading)
  • 50 g hard cheese (e.g., Emmental or Edam)
  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • Olives (for garnish)
  • 1 red pepper (for garnish)
  • Mayonnaise (to taste)

Preparation Steps

  1. Prepare the Bread: Spread each slice of bread with horseradish butter.
  2. Add Toppings: Place a slice of salami on each slice of bread.
  3. Add Cheese: Slice or grate the hard cheese and add it on top of the salami.
  4. Add Egg and Vegetables: Slice the hard-boiled egg and add it to each sandwich. Cut the red pepper into thin strips and place them on the sandwiches.
  5. Garnish: Decorate each sandwich with olives and add a small amount of mayonnaise if desired.
  6. Serve: Serve the sandwiches fresh, optionally garnished with a sprig of parsley.
