Frittata with Salami

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 50 g grated cheese (e.g., Parmesan or Cheddar)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., parsley or chives)

Preparation Steps

  1. Preheat: Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Prepare the Vegetables and Salami: In an ovenproof pan, heat olive oil. Add chopped onion and pepper and cook until softened (about 5 minutes). Then add diced salami and cook until slightly crispy. Finally, add diced tomatoes and stir briefly.
  3. Prepare the Eggs: Meanwhile, whisk eggs in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper, and add grated cheese.
  4. Combine: Pour the eggs into the pan with the cooked vegetables and salami. Gently stir to distribute the ingredients evenly.
  5. Bake: Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the frittata is golden on top.
  6. Serving: Garnish the baked frittata with fresh herbs and serve warm. Slice and serve with salad or bread.
